MThe looting of the Jewish cemeteries in a number of towns in the south of France in 1990 serves as the point of departure for this documentary. Through archival images, the film follows the memories of a Jewish emigrant who recalls his childhood in the USSR and his exile in France with his family just before he dies. Later, both his tomb and that of his wife were desecrated during the events that took place in the Jewish cemeteries of Nice and Carpentras. This documentary, which was shot in black and white and includes archival footage, is a reflection on the importance of the memory in the life of the human being.
